It is no secret that Amanda and I love Anegada. In fact, every couple we have ever taken to Anegada absolutely loves it. Except one, but that is a story for another day………. There are some pretty great and picturesque bars and restaurants on the North Shore; Cow Wreck Beach Bar, Anegada Beach Club, Big Bamboo Beach Bar at Loblolly Bay, and Flash of Beauty. However, standing above all is Tipsy by Ann. Tipsy by Ann is relatively new. We were at the Cow Wreck Beach Bar and stumbled across Ann’s place just down the beach. We walked in and loved the setting, the drinks, food, and most of all, the hospitality. It is owned and operated by the A-Team.
No. Not the guys from the ‘80’s. Way better than that! Ann and Andrew operate Tipsy by Ann and they are fantastic! When it is just the two of us, Amanda and I will spend most of a day at Tipsy just enjoying the conversation, the beach, and the food and drinks. Again, I like games, so every now and then I can get Amanda to play bean bags while we sip a drink and listen to the surf. The setting is amazing. The bar is about 100 feet from the high tide mark on Cow Wreck Bay, one of the most beautiful bays you will find in the islands. They have little elevated cabanas, an area for bean bags and other fun outdoor games, and the best gift shop in Anegada.
Andrew operates a rockin’ DJ shack dialing up a great variety of music ranging from Caribbean Classics to Country Music hits. As a music lover, I think good tunes always set the mood for a beach bar. Amanda is a big fan of the gift shop. While not huge, it always has fabulous shirts, sweaters, etc. Most surprising, prices are pretty much in line with what you would pay in the US. We always tell our guests that this is the place to buy your “been there” shirt in the islands. Amanda and I have a regular rotation of sunshirts and tank tops that we have picked up from Ann’s gift shop. They are always great conversation starters. One last cool thing. Let’s say you fall off the boat and have to stay a few days in Anegada. You are in luck! Ann has a few guest houses you can rent until you feel like being rescued. Or until the next shipwrecked individual with reservations shows up. In case you want to plan your shipwreck and make a reservation, use this link here: https://www.cowwreckbeachbvi.com

Our favorite way to tour the island is to rent a scooter or mini-moke and ride up to the North Shore. Nothing is too far on Anegada. Just watch out for cows, goats, and donkeys crossing the road.
